In this video Maxx shows us how to finish making a wooden podium or book pedestal from reclaimed pallet wood.
This is a prop for larp, but is very much a real piece of furniture as well. Throw together a simple one for your game and then make an elegant one for in your home. Perfect for decor, research or casting spells.
If you can't just find a pallet somewhere, try looking online or asking at any store. Usually small stores may have one and have no idea how to get rid of it. I'm sure they'd be happy to let you have one.
At the end of this video, you should have a finished useable product, but if you want to make it look more high end or more immersive, the sky is the limit. I used only items I found for free or already had, to make this project basically free, but if you want to buy high end hardware for it, you can do more.
Stay tuned for part 3, where I further design, alter and make this pedestal more immersive and offer advice and instructions of finishing touches.
If you build one, plese be sure to let me see your work. Tag me on any social media @larpmix.
