So, there's a phenomenon that I'm pretty sure a lot of people go through (I definitely did when I was a kid) that I've never tried to explain before, but for some reason, about 3 weeks ago, while I was producing my song, Something To Say, it came straight to the forefront of my mind, and I knew I needed to write a song around it. What I'm talking about is ... being scared of "losing yourself" if you decide to change some aspect of yourself that is keeping you down. For example, the mindset of "I just wouldn't be me if I didn't (insert any number of negative attributes here)" or "I'm not the type of person to go out of my way to (insert any number of positive attributes here). It's weird. It seems people won't risk becoming a better person because they might not like what comes out the other side. This song is all about struggling to become the best version of yourself, whatever that might look like. Don't be afraid of letting things go that are keeping you down, or trying new things that might help someone else. I promise you'll like yourself better if you keep trying.

A little about me... My name is Jason. I'm a drummer who is learning to play guitar and bass. I grew up singing in choirs, but never lead, so I'm learning that too.
