This song is the only song I've written in the last 1.5 years that has taken longer than a week to produce. I've been working on this one for almost 3 months.
By no means am I any type of expert on this subject, and in fact am quite ignorant to most of its oppressive nature, but recently I've come into contact with and become close to a few people who are struggling with mental illness. I can't imagine what a consistent and horrible battle that must be. My heart goes out to any one who has loved ones who battle with this, and even more to those who are fighting it themselves.
This song came out of my yearning for understanding in this area. We all deal with our own personal demons, and I am no exception. This song goes out to all those who are putting up a fight to that which ails us. Keep fighting. Keep believing. Keep hoping for the better day.

What I didnt know was how it would turn out. This is one with which I am very pleased. The vocals during the bridge are by far the highest full-voice vocals Ive ever sung or recorded. By far.
