MAGFest | MAGFest 2024: Exaggerated Swagger of a Black Game Dev (Remix): Creating for the Culture @magfest | Uploaded 6 months ago | Updated 1 hour ago
This panel explores the essence of ‘cool’ in video games through the lens of the Black community, and how Black developers create opportunities for representation in the medium while also adding to the culture. We’ll explore the influences of culture and community in the process of creating video games and navigating the industry as a black creator. This panel was created with Blerds at heart, for those who create, consume, and celebrate the positive strides made for Black creatives in the game industry!
MAGFest is run by MAGFest, Inc., a volunteer-supported 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the appreciation of video games, video game culture, and video game music. We achieve this through numerous events, such as Super MAGFest, MAGWest, MAGStock, and Bit Gen Gamer Fest. We also support other not-for-profit organizations, such as Child’s Play.
