📝 The Magene L508 is the first non-Garmin bike radar on the market, so how does it compare? I put it through its paces against the Garmin Varia LT510 to find out what the difference is, and which one you should get.
🚀 After a month of using both units, I think there's not much in the performance of each one, to the point that you could probably switch out one for the other and I wouldn't be able to notice.
🔥 The Magene has some extra features that the Garmin doesn't have, such as a built-in brake light function and the ability to connect to the unit via an app to customize modes, flashing patterns, etc. The Garmin seems to have slightly longer battery life, but it's hard to make like-for-like comparisons, and there doesn't seem to be much in it.
