20XX "Crime City"
TOKYO CITY. This massive metropolis, home to 30 million people, came to be called that way. As the population grew, so did crime, outpacing the police force's ability to respond. The arrest rate plummeted, and public safety fell into chaos. To address this crisis, the "Unified Detective Organization"――known as "NEST"――was established.
NEST is composed of 100 "Great Detectives." The only qualification required is intelligence—personality and background are not questioned. Supporting these flawed detectives are just two "Recorders." The only requirement for them is compatibility――character and skills are not questioned.
Numerous cases unfold across TOKYO CITY. From lost item searches to heinous crimes, no mystery is unsolvable for these Great Detectives. To protect the city's peace and eradicate crime... And, to prove that they are the ones most worthy of standing at the pinnacle of all detectives...
The Great Detectives and their Recorders will solve new mysteries again today.
