Busy, Busy Rachie is utterly EXHAUSTED right now. Last week was a montage of nonstop rehearsals and make up and just utter chaos. Plus the actual performances were amazing and totally worth all the stress. I have never seen a weirder performance of Frankenstein with...polar bears...vampires...penguins...demons and shepards and sailors and spanish bandits and the italian police. I just have no way of describing it. It was amazing good fun and mental. So it was worth being able to put my cosplay skills to some good use! Plus the aftershow party was good fun as well. Haha, I stayed up till 5am and got rather sozzled...Ahaha, I feel bad for the director. I talked his socks off for about 2 hours about absolutely nothing. So it's cringe worthy remembering it. But I had an amazing night and it was lovely having a big blowout with all my friends!
Now, I have been having my week of rest...Except it hasn't been one. Since it's been boiling and I've had free lance articles to do...And rehearsing for the singalong that I am singing solos in. I am actually singing this song instead of Regret Message because the pianist struggled with the score and I decided to simple it down a bit. So, sorry guys, :(. Maybe another time for that song!!. But yeah, I've had rehearsals for that and ontop of that I have Patience in which the first ACTING REHEARSALS START NEXT WEEK. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I'M SO EXCITED. I'VE BEEN DYING TO DO SOME ACTING FOR AGES AND NOW IS MY CHANCE.
Also...THIS WEEK IS MY LAST TRIP TO THE NETHERLANDS. YES, FOLKS, I HAVE NEARLY GOT THROUGH MY LONG DISTANCED REATIONSHIP TO THE POINT WHERE WE CAN HAVE JITTER COME BACK AND ACTUALLY GET OUR APARTMENT SORTED. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT HAS SHOT DOWN TO ABOUT 2 WEEKS. NOW I CAN SEE THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL AND IT IS GLORRRRRRRRRRRRIOUS! Haha, it feels weird because I swear I had a big upset about it quite a while ago. You guys were super supportive and I really appreciate that. Thanks so much. It's been a hard year but you guys are wonderful when it comes to pepping me up. :) Bless your faces!!
Anyways, so I am going to Utrecht for my final time. I might vlog a little and show what we get up to. We're planning on going to Rotterdam and some beaches in some of the smaller netherlandish countries. That and we are going to climb the Dom tower in Utrecht and actually go biking! I'm very excited. It shall help with my diet. This bit is going to sound hillarious but...I'M RELATIVELY COKE FREE. HAHA, yes, for a while I have had a coke (and pepsi) problem. :P I used to have about 5 coke cans a day (Not the drug, THE DRINK, LOL) And now I am down to 1 or 0 cans a day. So my diet seems to be going well. I WILL HOPEFULLY BE BACK WITH MY NORMAL CURVES IN NO TIME. HUZZARH.
So, this song. It is gorgeous. Utterly and completely gorgeous. The original is much lower and I had to knock it up a few octaves to feel comfortable with my pitch, but I seriously loved dubbing this song. It's simple but has such a beautiful melody that it's almost folky? Sort of reminds me of a lot of Steampianist's work, except his a lot more macabre and relatively darker. I really, really love singing songs like this one and I hope it shows.
ALSO, MY SOFTWARE IS A NIGHTMARE RIGHT NOW. IT DECIDED TO BE A PAIN IN THE ASS WITH TEMPOS AND WHENEVER I RECORDED IT PUSHED MY VOICE TO A SLOWER PACE SO IT WOULD NEVER FIT WITH THE SONG. Thus, I had to reset the entire program and pray it worked. Thankfully it did. But this software is a nightmare to use. Sigh. I hope I will get used to it sooner rather than later.
But yes, that's basically my life so far!! Also, I have recieved a lot of question on both my request doc and my quest doc. I will make a video addressing them soon so don't worry! I haven't been ignoring you! I just want to address them all at once.
