Episode 9: Following up on Madeline Bishop, the sweet, elderly lady in last week's episode who no longer has the strength to get up off her couch and who is being evicted from her seniors apartment; she needs to get herself into a nursing home ASAP. I was hoping putting her story out on The Podium might help her find people with the expertise and resources to help her.
Well, it's working! You won't believe who contacted us offering to help... :)
Of course, this is only the beginning. Once again, if you or anyone you know can help this lady find a place where she can live and have 24-hour care, please email me at gelfling@syd.eastlink.ca and put the word "Madeline" in the subject line.
