When I saw @the.moon.ghoul's incredible vintage Popsies by Rolly Crump on Instagram, a lightbulb went off: I had to try making a vintage 1950s-style robot! So, I grabbed what I had—three wooden dowels, a paint stick, a coffee stir stick, and some paint—and got to work, creating this custom wooden toy as my tribute to those iconic Popsies.
