Mackenzie McDonald went to College and represented UCLA for 3 years. In his third year Mackie won the 2016 NCAA Singles Champion and was selected 2016 ITA National Men's College Player of the Year. On April 29th 2019, Mackie reached his highest ranking so far, #57 in the ATP Rankings.
The Californian beat Juan Martin Del Potro in the Delray Beach tournament early in 2019.
