The FoOP JAZZ TRIO play Mack the Knife. "Mack the Knife" (a.k.a. "The Ballad of Mack the Knife" and "Die Moritat von Mackie Messer") was written around about 1927 by Kurt Weill with lyrics by Bertolt Brecht for their music drama "Die Dreigroschenoper" (a.k.a. "The Threepenny Opera"). Lyrics are not used in this performance. The FoOP JAZZ TRIO features Steven Strauss on electric concert ukulele, Ed Johnson on wash-tub bass ("gutbucket"), and Cynthia Wilson on the drums. This music was recorded on Saturday, April 6, 2013.
