CRG | Macintosh Classic Part 2, new caps but more problems @CRG | Uploaded July 2020 | Updated October 2024, 8 hours ago.
This week we are back looking at the Mac Classic. Finally got all the caps I need so time to get them fitted and hopefully get a working machine...
Nothings that simple though and while there is now power running through it and an image on screen the 5v and 12v rails are way below spec and the screen is a wobbly checker board mess.
I've exhausted my knowledge on this machine for now so if anyone has any ideas for what to try next I'd be most grateful.
What is it they say about a bargain "if it seems to good it probably is". With this machine only costing me £30 that statement is certainly coming true!
Music used in this episode from Nihilore.com with the following tracks used:
- Everything is only as it is
- Inner nuances fosters journeys
- The water and the well
Don't forget to like, subscribe, share and comment.
More CRG (and hopefully a working Mac) coming soon.
Had this link sent to me and thought it might be of use to some. Capacitor list now available here - console5.com/wiki/Mac_Analog_Board:_630-0395
