Here is my 2nd challenge video for the 2018 FACE Awards! As some of you guessed the theme was MACHINIST! Stay tuned to the end of my video to see some quick clips of the wig styling and costume making and more behind the scenes!

Some of you guessed that the theme would be metal/steampunk! This was way out of my comfort zone haha but I did some research on the steampunk movement and found lots in common with it! Steampunks take lots of pride in DIY and craftsmanship. And while the generic steampunk costume is quasi-19th-century retro-futuristic fashion, modern steampunks are pushing the envelope by adding their steampunk flare to other fashion eras and even characters from fiction. So likewise I decided to take on the iconic baroque style of the 17th-18th century! I'm not someone who's inspired by grunge and mechanics - I wanted to create something ornate and opulent and beautiful that wouldn't be the first thing you might expect given our theme!
