Apple's new MacBook Neo is the cheapest Mac the company has ever made, and it runs the same full macOS as a MacBook Pro. In this video you will find out exactly who this laptop is right for, where it hits its limits, and which of the two configurations to buy before school starts.
I am a teacher and a dad shopping for two laptops for my twins heading into grade 8, so I looked at the MacBook Neo the way a parent actually would. We go through who it fits best (middle school through college), the build, the 13 inch display and its two honest compromises, how the A18 Pro chip handles a real school day, battery life and ports, and the iPhone continuity features that make a Mac feel worth it over a Chromebook. I also spend real time on who should not buy this one, because 8GB of memory and an sRGB screen rule out a few groups.
