Welcome to Act 1 Scene 3 of Macbeth ๐๐
This is the moment where prophecy meets reality.
The scene opens on a wild heath near Forres ๐ซ๏ธ
The three witches return, speaking in riddles and sharing stories of petty revenge.
Macbeth and Banquo enter after the battle โ๏ธ
The witches greet Macbeth with three titles:
Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor, and future King ๐
They also make a strange prediction about Banquo.
His sons will be kings, even though he will not be one himself.
Macbeth is immediately shaken by what he hears.
He is drawn to the idea of power, but also disturbed by it.
When messengers arrive and announce that Macbeth has been named Thane of Cawdor, part of the prophecy comes true.
This makes the witchesโ words feel dangerous and real.
Banquo remains cautious, warning that evil often tells the truth to lead people toward destruction.
By the end of the scene, Macbeth is already imagining murder, even though no action has been taken yet.
