Took the time in between to get in alignment with something I hadn't thought to articulate about my channel: the various things I do *not* want it to be. Today's offering is much closer to what I originally envisioned for yesterday, with the added value of considerable personal grounding, a perceptual upgrade, and moving my focus back where it's meant to be. I love these open-flapped bags because I can generally store two decks in the space of one that's kept in the original box. The fact that the decks are not buttoned down or held tight with a drawstring allows more flexibility for including crystals, flowers, and miniature wands with the decks. Sometimes I prop the decks in a long narrow cutlery drawer from a long-gone dishwasher. I fold the flaps down and let the decks have a bit of filtered sunlight within the container garden on my deck.

Also I have more alkaloid stains on my fingers and under my nails than usual. It's the mark of an herbalist, rather than somebody who doesn't know how to wash their hands, as my very first viewer feedback email presumed. It was a lovely springtime moment.the wild-child side pocket gardensSparkling Lotus Ink2023-05-09 | Thought we'd take a little wander at the very edge of our property, so I could share the gorgeous flowering quince bush. Today we've got beautiful breezy New England sunshine for the second day in a row; and plants are responding in a wave of springtime vitality. After I filmed this video, I harvested a small basket of lemon balm intended for magical purposes. Glimpses and sounds of the road's proximity clarify my reasons to avoid gathering plants in this area, but I pushed through my ingrained hesitancy on the day after last year's Autumn equinox. My willingness to listen and learn has gifted many insights as well as quiet, personal blessings.

Good to know!Lost and FoundSparkling Lotus Ink2023-03-31 | Today I was thrilled to reconnect with a collaged oracle I began summer before last. It was originally inspired by a series of videos by Dawn Michelle beginning with this one:
In my own construction, I simplified her process a great deal. I have no intention of shuffling this deck in any manner beyond slow and gentle overhand, or an equally carefully version of the washing machine method, so there was no need for a protective shield finish. That makes handling it deliciously tactile and I highly recommend this activity for anyone with a hoard of assorted paper scraps. I hope I'll find the rest of the sanded cards for the deck I repurposed and reinvented, because I'd like to make more cards for this particular assembly. I might even write myself a little guidebook!
P.S. Since making the video, I've studied both Spiritual Guidance cards, and concluded I'm going to leave each of them in the deck. The card containing the sun and the moon is indeed for my own seeking/opening to receive guidance, and the violet pineapple letterpress background will be a heads up that I'll be asked to provide it for someone else.
