M1967 MLCE, The Short Lived Modified Load Carrying Equipment Of The Vietnam War. Howdy Folks! The M1967 MLCE, should have been a complete and total replacement of the M1956 LCE. However, it was relegated to a position of only being a "Stop Gap" to "Supplement" the ill-suited M1956 LCE.
As far as Military Load Carrying Equipment goes, it was forgotten almost as quickly as it was fielded.
