Kaciekk What We Don’t Know, is finally here. I can’t tell you enough how stressed I was on making this the best it can be. I started this back in September of 2016, and it was the exact project I was working on when that fateful July day came. I had to stop working on the project for six months, it was too daunting, given it was so hard just to listen to Chester’s voice… Hyper’s voice. But I told myself that this needed to be a tribute, but I didn’t want to make this specifically a Chester tribute, because that was never the intention of it to begin with. It was to show my admiration of Linkin Park.

Lift Me Up Let Me Go: Re-imagined (Pony Animation Test)

Kaciekk 2024-03-20 | Finally a new animation. This time it's a reimagining of one of my old animation, kind of what I actually wanted it to look like back then before I had the skills or tools to make it. Of course I didn't make the full animation because that would be pain. It's just a test with what I have now.

Hope you all enjoy the sparkles. This one might seem a bit stiffer than normal but that's because Toon Boom Harmony won't let me choose the direction of gradients, I had to rotate the pieces. My spirits have gradients on their edges, and there really isn't a good way to do them justice in animation with my limited skills and tools, that's why the original was just an animatic.

Linkin Pony - A Line in the Sand (Unfinished Animation)

Kaciekk 2023-12-26 | Uploading this now, because there now for certain no way for me to finish this. Yes this animation is like 5 years old now (2018), but out of nowhere, Toon Boom decided Toon Boom Studio is obsolete and no longer supported.

Not sure what I'm going to do for animation now. I was hoping maybe I could come back to this video and finish it, but now it's not possible to even open the file.

Thanks for all of your support over the years. The continuation of my animation is uncertain. Maybe I'll upgrade, if I can find a plan that isn't a monthly subscription (I'm not paying $300 + a year for a animation program)

This was meant to be a sequel to When They Come For Me, but I never finished the story completely. The griffons were at war with the Troops, the Tribals were going to aid them.

Minds Poison (Linkin Pony Animation)

Kaciekk 2023-07-07 | This started out as a vent animation (I'm okay now, don't worry!). Originally it started with distorted audio like this, then I decided, why not throw in a song and put a little bit of lip sync. Unfortunately that song was blocked on YouTube due to copyright, so I had to edit out the parts where Hyper sings. However one shot still remains, I didn't feel like going back and completely changing it.

This animation is extremely rough, much like how Consuming, Confusing was. Which was also a similar concept, but in this one I lean even more deeper into the darkness of mental illness (quite literally). I tried to amplify the roughness with some filters. Just playing around with my editor.

I'm not sure exactly the context to this animation. I think viewers should decided for themselves. I know given who Hyper is, this is a touchy subject. If this stuff upsets you, please do not feel the need to watch this!

Linkin Pony Lore: How do Ponies Shave?

Kaciekk 2023-05-26 | Heyo! Just a fun quick video that I randomly thought of. But while making it, I thought, what if I made a series explaining my version of Equestria. Since it is the world the Linkin Ponies live in, I decided why not title it Linkin Pony Lore. This is also a good way to recycle old art so it gets more views, but I did make a few original doodles to go with this.

This was also a test with a new microphone. It has noise suppression but I find it also cuts out some speech too in that mode. But I gotta work with it since I got rid of my old mic oops. While I like my voice, I'm not the greatest narrator. I find it hard to vary my tone.

This is the most complex shot of animation I've done. So I decided to show my process on it. I probably could have made it even better by making my own Hyper model and learning how to animate a camera.

Battle Symphony: A Decade of Linkin Pony (Animated Music Video)

Kaciekk 2022-11-10 | 10 years ago I created Linkin Pony. I don't think 14-year-old me would believe how far Linkin Pony would go. Back then, it was a combination of my 2 favorite things. Now, it's a part of who I am. Linkin Pony is not meant to be a joke concept, it's a genuine way to show my gratitude towards Linkin Park.

I want to thank everyone who's supported me over the past decade; The few friends I've made along the way, and those who came and moved on. It means so much to me.

That all being said, I wanted to make something special for the 10th Linkin Pony Day. I present, Battle Symphony! I put my all into this video. Believe me when I say most of my time creating this year was on this video.

"Why isn't it the full song?" You may be asking. Well, it never was meant to be. It first started out as a 55 second clip that was meant to push my skills. It grew bigger to form a full story as I extended it several times, working backwards. While I could have done the whole song, it wouldn't have added anything to the story, and wouldn't be done by the 10th.

I'm really proud of this, and I want people to see it. Since the algorithm HATES me, I could really use all of your help sharing this!

5 years ago, I promised that I’d do my best to keep Chester alive in HyperBlitz. I hope I have done that, and I hope to continue to do that. My art might not make that many rounds anymore, but these characters still have a special place in my heart, as Linkin Park has a special place in my life. We love you Chester, and always will.

Finally a new animation! This one is in the style of an animation meme, although it's not a song I've seen done before. Meet SwiftHaze, the dramatic, sassy, badass, compassionate apocalypse child. She's a lot like Hyper, but somehow even more reckless. HyperBlitz is her ancestor. Her story follows the descendants of other Linkin Ponies as well. During their adventures they learn about the past, Linkin Ponies and the war. I hope you all can come to love Haze as much as I have!

Oh boy have I been obsessed with Neoni lately. Their music just SCREAMS SwiftHaze. Like, 95% of their stuff has her energy. There are songs that capture Haze even better than Champion, but this was the one that I imagined an animation out of first. I didn't really want to label this as an animation meme, but I suppose it kinda is. Just the fact that I'm not a large enough creator to be making these originals. I did my best at putting the Fallout aesthetic in this!

Indomitable: A Linkin Park Tribute

Kaciekk 2021-07-24 | “Indomitable” is more than a Linkin Park tribute. It's my love letter to the Linkin Park Family. It’s not just about Linkin Park’s musical legacy, It's about community, and our connection to the band. We each have our own relationship with the music and the band members, and are all entwined as a family because of that.

I could have easily made the “main character” a completely random design like the rest of the fans, but I made it myself. I guess I wanted this to be personal in a real way, not just vague fan characters. There are ponies in this video because I made it, and that is part of my relationship with LP. A part of my identity. I wanted to share my experience, adding myself to this, because only I could create this video. So hopefully that resonates with some people.

It’s been four years since we lost Chester. I have thought of him every single day since then. I know this loss has affected millions. Chester’s impact on the world transcends his own life. Through his music, through his authenticity, through his kindness. It’s inspired millions. That’s what “Make Chester Proud” comes from. Do something creative, genuine, and kind. That’s why our work is larger than we know.

It may seem odd to see a Linkin Park tribute without music by Linkin Park. This song was originally written about the late Monty Oum, creator of RWBY. I thought the lyrics fit well for Linkin Park and the LP community. I didn't want this project to take away the meaning of the song, rather, add to it. Thank you Chester, and thank you Monty, for your countless inspiration.

I know my art doesn’t reach anywhere near the amount of people Chester or Monty have. But I still love having the power to create. The ability to see a video in my head when listening to a song, then make it real. I appreciate all those who support me. I hope that I can make an impact on the world even in the smallest ways.

I tried listening to some of his new album to see if there was anything I could animate and this is what I came up with. It's also different since it's grayscale, which is a lot easier to animate.

I don't expect this to get as much reception as Linkin Pony, but it was fun trying something different. So if you like it, please share, and if you can, tag grandson on social media, I'd love if he could see this.

Consuming, Confusing (Linkin Pony Animation)

Kaciekk 2021-03-25 | A project that started out as vent, and grew to mean different things to me while I was working on it. I started it because I listened to Crawling and really related to the lyrics at the time. Yes, even Crawling, the "meme song", is relatable. I thought the piano version worked better for this animation.

This animation originally wasn't going to be colored, but I decided to anyway. So I'm so sorry for the lack of quality on this one. It was never meant to be as polished as a full music video. It was only meant to capture emotion.

Now, I couldn't find an exact statistic on how many people deal with mental illness, but I've heard 1 in 4, but have also seen 1 in 5, or 1 in 6. I truly believe myself its 1/4 because there's so many illnesses that go undiagnosed, and almost everyone goes through grief during their life. Here are a couple sources I did find:

Since the theme was about emotion and blood, I chose a section from my story Recharge: Revamped. This was one of Rhythm's dreams which reflects his subconscious that he's afraid it's his fault Hyper lost his wing.

Kaciekk 2020-11-11 | To celebrate 8 years of Linkin Pony, I'd like to share my first music video in two years since What We Don't Know. May I present Linkin Pony - Powerless! This project took a lot of time, and I'd greatly appreciate it if you all could support and share it.

SLIGHT BLOOD AND EPILEPSY WARNING.

The story is inspired by my comic When They Come For Me. While I could easily explain everything about this video, I'd like the audience to interpret what they think it means. But if you are curious, let me know and I'd be happy to share.

Let's just say HyperBlitz greatly regrets his past harmful actions in this universe. The shadow that's following him is NOT him, it's a different pony. But Hyper is afraid that he's becoming the horrible pony that the shadow was.

I can safely say this was my "quarantine project". When I was laid off from work, I worked on this music video for every day for a month, several hours a day, and from that I was able to get about half of the video done, and the other half I worked on up until release. Somehow, one day, I listened to Powerless and was able to think up an entire music video.

Solidarity MAP - Part 42

"Will you still be there stood next to me"~ While this line was not chosen by me, I think it's perfect for what Linkin Pony stands for. Friendship and togetherness, and the bond of Linkin Park. I wanted to put my best effort into this, it's special. I hope you all like it.

I feel like I could have done something better for my part. Something more eye-catching and energetic, like a concert, I mean, it is rock music. But I didn't want to do lip sync because PW isn't any of my ponies' voices, but I saw a bunch of other people do lip sync

I wanted to upload this longer, with the animatic and rough (which are almost the same), but I couldn't do it in HD without Toon Boom exploding. I might do another video for that, for now, have this.

I really wish there were more pony MAPs out there, or at least more MAPs that allow fandom OCs. I don't really consider the Linkin Ponies as fandom OCs but I guess technically they are.

I only recorded a little over 3 hours, but there was a lot I did off screen, so I'm guessing it took at least 5-6 hours. I'm sure it took way longer, especially with how much details are in this one.

Butterflies (Gift) [Speedpaint]

Kaciekk 2019-08-31 | I've been meaning to draw these beans for awhile. So I decided to make this a speedpaint test, which I've never done before. Honestly a kinda lazy drawing, only taking about an hour. Recording while drawing does slow things down a little, with some lag, but I don't think it's enough to affect much. I'll try this again in the future, and hey, maybe speedpaints can give me enough motivation to make more art!

Kaciekk 2019-08-25 | Initially I thought I'd have a MAP part for this month's animation, but the MAP has been delayed. So have whatever this is. First animation of my fursona Aura. I'll probably use her for new update videos/ me speaking. Sorry for the background noise on this one.

At some point I'm going to post all my unused animations and animations. It would probably be best to put them all in one video, since Youtube favors longer videos. But I like posting videos more often than having long ones. Idk, would people even watch a longer video (probably around 4-5 minutes)

The Spirit Temple (Linkin Pony Animation)

Kaciekk 2019-07-16 | CharmingRhythm visits the tribe's spirit temple, remembering this place from when he was young. He goes in search for more explanations to what's happening to him. Spirits are such a foreign concept to troopers, maybe the tribal culture could teach Rhythm about them.

A continuation of that Empty Spaces animation I did, and excerpt from my series (also named Empty spaces) however this explores a little more of the scene than the comic. I love being able to show off places in my universe, and expanding the world. I also enjoy making these animations with sound effects.

Of course I'm not happy with everything in it, but I need to just let it go. EXCEPT Youtube killed the quality in some parts, particularly the background. The compression is never this bad, and I HATE it, but I've had enough with uploading so many times.

No creative title for this one.

There was one sound that I did not credit, I felt it was too small to even make out to credit in video. Rhythm's gasp comes from the "Rebellion" acapella by Linkin Park.

Watching As I Fall- Animatic Parts

Kaciekk 2019-06-15 | Happy first birthday Post Traumatic! It's been a crazy year. These are parts of an animatic I never finished for Watching As I fall. It was supposed to be the prequel to Nothing Makes Sense Anymore, where Rhythm finally finds a way out of the pit, through a tunnel, which leads to the shoreline he's seen at in NMSA. Empty Spaces (Linkin Pony Animation)

Kaciekk 2019-05-15 | It had been over a month since the end of the war. An early snow began to fall over Rivera and tribal land alike. The snow seemed to speak to CharmingRhythm’s confusion. Snow would usually not fall for another month, as past years suggested. But this was like no year before. Nothing was right, and even the weather could not detest to that.

Never in my right mind did I think that I'd make an animation for a track like EMPTY SPACES of all things lmao. But instead of coming before When They Come For Me, it comes after! Do you ever just give your character literal war flashbacks? Poor Rhythm, he doesn't deserve this, but I do it to him anyway.

I haven't done many animations like this, with sounds effects. I really love it, they really bring the scene to life. My only problem is that this is too short. Can't really do anything about that since I've shown all I need to show.

I am working on a similar animation like this too! Except there's no Linkin Park track in it whatsoever, just sound effects.

Linkin Pony - What We Dont Know: Behind the Scenes

I decided Behind the Scenes was the best name for this, since it's not just the storyboard, but it has facts. I hope you guys find this insightful, at least in the slightest way.

Uhhh I have been trying to finished this thing ever since What We Don't Know came out, so like, 5 months. Usually you do the storyboard before a project, but I did it afterwards. I had about 90% of the storyboards saved, so I decided, why not. It would give an idea of where this project started from. Check out my horrible sketches called storyboards. I added some facts to it to make it more interesting, but now it might be hard to watch and read at the same time.

Linkin Pony - Roads Untraveled: A Six Year Difference

Kaciekk 2019-02-11 | Happy birthday Rhythm/Mike! This isn't actually what I intended to make for his birthday but it ended up working out anyway. Like a week ago I randomly decided to redo some of the animations from my first Linkin Pony music video, to see how far I've come. The idea came up right before Rhythm's birthday, so it was perfect. Also I needed a video for this month.

Sorry it's not any long, I didn't have time, and also it would be hard to reposition the original video for that. Hope *you guys* like it anyway!

Kaciekks 2018 Rewind

Kaciekk 2018-12-31 | So I wanted to make a video summary of 2018 like how there's an art one, but then I realized it's just a rewind. While I don't actually particularly think 2018 was "amazing" (strange given I actually met my idol), but I did do something I've never done before: upload a video every month on Youtube. While October didn't really have a unique video, I did make 2 videos leading up to What We Don't Know. And while I uploaded "Headfirst Hallucination" after WWDK, it felt better putting WWDK at the end of the rewind, since it's my big project, and it has a nice fade at the end.

So let's hope I can keep up this video every month, even if they are old animations I never uploaded. I want to push my animation capabilities in 2019, even if that means even less art. I felt I didn't make enough art this year, it was mostly doodle, but that was partially because I was focusing on WWDK, and doodles just get my ideas out quicker. I don't know what 2019 holds, but I know I won't ever stop creating.

Headfirst Hallucination (Animation test)

Kaciekk 2018-12-15 | I didn't really have a video for this month, I did want to make the storyboard version of What We Don't Know, but haven't got to work on it. Next month will probably be a Echo video, hopefully, it's only 15 seconds. I need an Echo bean video, and his birthday is in January.

So here's a really quick animation I made back in September. Back in August of 2017, I got an idea for making a video for Nobody Can Save me, as a tribute for Chester, I even made some animation then. But the video didn't really go anywhere. Still to this day, I am able to visualize the video, and this was one of the scenes in it.

This animation is at 6 fps, and I colored on a different layer, which is the first time I've done that. So that's why I'm calling it an animation test.

Besides all of that, I'm working on my next "big" animation. It's only 52 seconds, but it's going to be high quality, fast paced animation, something I hope people will want to watch over and over. It will be for the story I'm working on, A Line In The Sand, which is a sequel to When They Come For Me. It's not going to be a comic, not that I've planned yet. We'll see. I'm still writing it.
