Lyanna Stark arrives in Kings Landing engaged to Robert. She accepts her fate and tries to love the man she is to marry, but as time goes on she sees she can never be herself with him. He see's only her beauty, not her fire not her strength.
Rhaegar talks with her one night and the two become friends. He admires her strength and fire. The two grow close as Lyanna can truly be herself around him and the couple fall in love and run away.
When the war begins Rhaegar knows he must join the fight but promises to come back for her, she knows that Robert will kill her prince if he comes for her so she begs him not to come back.
Robert kills Rhaegar and shortly after Lyanna dies in childbirth. She wakes in the after life to her husband laying beside her. Bran realizes that the war was a lie all those years ago and figures out who Jon is.
