Every Nonna has her own way of making sugo, and a secret ingredient that makes it truly hers. Today, our Nonna is sharing her family recipe with you, passed down through generations. đ đ«đ«Whatâs your secret ingredient? â€ïž
đ đ„« Sugo Recipe:
1kg ripe tomatoes
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
Olive oil
Fresh basil
1 SWISS Schöggeli
Salt to taste
How to make Nonnaâs Sugo:
1) Blanch and peel the tomatoes.
2) Crush the tomatoes.
3) Finely chop the onions.
4) Heat the oil and sauté the onions.
5) Add the garlic and tomatoes.
6) Simmer for at least 2 hours.
7) Pluck the basil leaves and add them to the mixture.
8) Put in a SWISS Schöggeli for that extra flavor.
