Every raver has their sunrise story. It usually takes place around 6 AM, after dancing all night, when the first rays of light usher in a new musical energy, something wild and magical. It’s the kind of moment people romanticize for years, even decades after. Such was the desired effect of Luzon’s 2002 classic Manila Sunrise. The tune contains a raw, tribal energy that few others can claim. Drawing influence from the Goa scene, it’s twirling pads and majestic vocal made it an instant progressive house staple that redefined the genre. We’re proud to bring back this insatiable classic for our fifteenth Yoshitoshi Classic remix pack, with contributions from three of today’s finest producers — label owner Sharam, Swiss studio ace Khainz, and New York techno legend Boris.
Sharam’s remix adds some modern flare to the original's progressive nature. He injects some dark, drum n’ bass-inspired sounds, a catchy new melody, and a beautiful, pad-and-vocal driven breakdown that transports listeners and club-goers to another dimension. Khainz makes his Yoshitoshi debut with a remix that boasts a myriad of stabs, effects, and other synth wizardry over a driving, tech house groove. His monstrous builds give away to exhilarating, unapologetic release. Finally, Boris transforms the track into a percussion-driven monstrosity that smacks of the classic New York 90's techno sound. The mix itself is built around banging drums and heavy bass, while the original’s delicate vocal contrasts the brutal nature of his remix, creating a powerful sonic dichotomy. As usual, we have included a remaster of the timeless original mix to complete this package. Enjoy. .

Aaryon has been making his name in the techno world with a slew of records on Noir Music, Parquet, Suara, and remixes for names like Olivier Giacomotto and Solee. The Spanish producer is known for expertly crafted tracks brimming with smooth melodic peaks, bold edgy hooks, and dark textures that sound excellent in a club. Aaryon now makes his Yoshitoshi debut with the Nos EP, which features three new creations which straddle the boundary between club-focused techno and experimental electronica.
We kick things off with “Ember,” a track that has become Sharam’s go-to set starter. Its extended vocal waxes poetic about mankind’s discovery of fire before laying down a dark and dreamy groove. Next up we have the title track “Nos,” a hard-driving and ethereal tune with fluttering synths and commanding bass stabs which build gradually to detuned and otherworldly melodies. Lastly, “Away,” a collaboration with Underher, ditches the 4x4 template for a complex triplet-based groove and is sure to catch clubbers by surprise with its ominous, pitched-down vocals and experimental flavor.

Over the past few years, CJ Jeff has become and integral part of the Yoshitoshi roster, first with his remix of Eddie Amadors 6AM and then with his debut label EP Pitch Black. His music is a raw, unadulterated mix of tech house and techno that you can always count on shaking things up at the party. CJ goes dark and gritty with loads of funk on his new EP Eye Contact.
The title track is nothing short of gargantuan. Its heavy, driving bass riffs and pounding drums are pulled straight from the techno bible, and CJ combines them with distorted vocals and acid square wave riffs that keep it lively over a big bottom end that roars through subwoofers like a monster. To kick things up a notch, were very exctied to welcome German house honcho Mathias Kaden to Yoshitoshi with a remix of Eye Contact that balances out CJs brutal mix with a jacking house groove. Mathias is known for his funky and minimal tracks and his remix is as textbook as it gets, deploying bouncy bass and warm, classic-sounding drums and a breakdown to send the floors into a frenzy.
On the B-side CJ wraps up this great EP with Silver Spoon, a slightly deeper but still energetic techno roller sporting a Detroit-style chord stab riff and plenty of percussion. One cant help to be transformed to another time and dimension with Silver Spoon. We think that place is a dark warehouse.

The next Yoshitoshi Classic is here and its an iconic one - Dino Lennys I Feel Stereo. Anyone on the scene in 2001, when this monster tune was originally released, remembers its pulsing rhythms and ear-catching vocal hook. Seventeen years later, I Feel Stereo is back with three remixes from some of the finest artists around.
First up, Steve Lawler (working here as Lawler) has crafted a badass, bassline-driven house track that pummels with all the energy of the original. Steve continues his reign as as key innovator in dance music, modernizing this classic with unquestionable finesse.
The Red Axes boys deliver their left-field brand of house with a variety of distorted arpeggio riffs, futuristic chimes, and other left-field sounds that make their remix truly unique. Its another ace production from the Israeli duo.
Last but certainly not least, up-and-comer Frankyeffe, who delivered the goods on his collaborative Splitting Minds EP with Loco & Jam last fall, serves up some impeccably produced techno for big rooms. The Italian young guns mix is absolute savagery.
Of course, it wouldnt be a Yoshi Classic pack without a remastered original mix. We hope you enjoy this excellent remix pack.
