The 2026 Newmar Grand Star 3948 is a nearly 40-foot luxury Super C diesel motorhome built on the Freightliner S2RV chassis, powered by a 360-horsepower Cummins engine delivering 800 lb-ft of torque. Designed with comfort and convenience in mind, this model features a bath-and-a-half layout, a spacious master bedroom with a king bed, and a full rear bath complete with a 40″ × 30″ shower and optional washer/dryer. The living area includes a 74″ Comfort Lounge sofa, a booth dinette that converts for sleeping, and an overhead bunk above the cab for extra guests. The kitchen is equipped with a residential 18-cu-ft refrigerator and high-end finishes throughout.
Standard features include the Truma AquaGo continuous hot water system, Polar Pak R19 insulation, and a 14,000-pound towing hitch. Technology and entertainment upgrades are plentiful, with a 43″ Samsung 4K exterior TV and soundbar, and options for Starlink internet, a dishwasher, induction cooktop, and advanced lithium battery systems (up to 960 Ahr).
