I'm onboard Lufthansa’s incredible First Class for 12 hours! This is perhaps one of the most epic aviation experiences of my life, not only because of how inaccessible Lufthansa’s First Class is (with tickets costings upwards for $8000!) but being on board the 747, in the nose. Yes ladies and gentlemen, I’m going to be sitting in front of the pilots onboard this flight!
Lufthansa is one of only three airlines operating the 747-8 commercially. And given the last year it’s increasingly hard to get onboard one. Both BA and KLM has canned the use of their planes (albeit older versions) but Lufthansa is still operating their new 747s on a handful of routes.
I'm stating my journey today in London where I need to fly over to Frankfurt to catch the Queen of the Skies. In usual times Lufthansa provide access to their First Class terminal, entirely dedicated to First Class passengers. What's more this involves being driven across the tarmac to your flight in a Porsche!
