When they announced that Lux Æterna was going to be in the new batch of songs for Fortnite Festival, I was very curious to see how they would interpret the song. In the spirit of @aWiseMoose and @NatResiSH ' comparison videos, I wanted to do one of my own! (Doesn't look as fancy though :P)
One of the most notable charting decision I've seen in the FF chart that I actually ommited on purpose in my chart was those little guitar scraps just before some chords (as early as the one at 00:08 and during the verses), which I though were overkill accuracy, but nothing wrong in concept.
Wrapping in general in both charts is pretty close but there isn't a million way you can chart some riffs to be honest, both charts are doing it right and that's dope. There is one section however that I'm pretty surprised to see how similar they are in concept, being the very beginning of Solo 2 (at around 01:40), with the only difference being Epic Games going for a stretch of 4 notes while I stuck to 3, but the amount of notes is the same, so that makes me happy haha. The idea for my chart was to keep the fretting to 3 fingers considering the amount of "random strums". There is also 1:53, which we both had the same idea, just executed different and I like the way FF has it charted more than mine. One last note about the solo, thank GOD they didn't chart the grace note starting at 02:00 bwahaha, that would've been evil; I considered going back on that section and removing them in the future, so glad it is now considered somewhat "valid" to do it so. Overall, I love FF's chart of Lux Æterna, I can't wait to try it out myself.
