This seems to be a fairly consistent quick kill of the golden lute when both (a) one skeleton knight spawns and (b) the lute head is retracted when you arrive at the lute.
It works for either rider, though you'll need two damage to use it on the left-side rider. The idea is to let the lute's first forward lunge knock the rider off its horse, and then deal with the armored skeleton by buffering against it instead of the lute body.
It has the same problem as the usual quick kill: namely, if the red dragon is forced to move up instead of horizontally after its spawn, you'll get hit by its fireball.
