Great to meet Robert today on Crawfordsburn Beach on Belfast Lough, and to find out he was making some good catches here. This popular weekend location is found between Helen's Bay and Bangor on the South shore of Belfast Lough. Great natural scenery variety too, at adjoining Crawfordsburn Country Park. On weekdays it's a very peaceful walk or stroll around the parkland and across the beach. Summer weekends can be very busy indeed with day trippers, and moving a little further toward Bangor or beyond on this County Down shore might get you a decent spot on the water on those days.
