The anguished family members heard Mangione admit to stalking Thompson and shooting him in the back on his way to a shareholders conference in Manhattan. Mangione faces possible life in prison when he next appears in federal court for sentencing on December 19th. As Mangione pleaded guilty, a handful of Mangione supporters were calling for his freedom.
