LFD holds live burn training

LUDINGTON -- Ludington Fire Dept. held a live burn training session Saturday at a house located at 910 W. Lowell Street. The house, on the lakeshore, was once the home of Dr. John and Ruth Carney. The house had been gifted to the Community Foundation for Mason County and was recently sold to a private owner who plans to raze it and build a new house.
Firefighters from several other fire departments participated in the training session including Hamlin Fire Department, Riverton Fire Department, City of Manistee Fire Department, and Filer Township Fire Department. Life EMS was also on scene to conduct medical monitoring.
