Since 2024, Drew Davidson has been running a qualitative study of the international "fields of play," from games and mixed reality to theatre, sports, music, and child psychology. Through questionnaires, interviews, and calls for community participation, he looks for patterns in how play shows up across various sectors. This session shares stories from that work and opens a conversation about the role of play in creating positive social impact.

Speaker:
Drew Davidson, Professor and Editor, Carnegie Mellon University / Play Story Press

Recorded at the 2026 Games for Change Festival, "Reimagining Play," July 21 to 22 at The Glasshouse in New York City.
