I am ready to give up on this show and they give me ship content?? Unfair!! But seriously, I love Lucy acknowledging her relationship to Fallon in the latest episode and also saying she knew a different side to him, cause she did and was probably the only one who did. Like, I'm not excusing the awful person he was, but I feel like, if he had not grown up in this upper class world where he was taught to believe that he's superior to other people and can do what he wants he may have just been a giant greek mythology nerd who never harmed anyone lol. Like, I did get the impression that for him the Spartans were as much about "fitting in with the boys" than any real sadistic pleasure? And he did seem to care for Lucy, wanting to run away with her, deafening her against that other dude, wanting to give her pleasure etc.
As for Lucy, I don't think she was just flattering his vanity when she said he is the only one to ever give her pleasure. Lucy hates being a sex worker, or at least the rutting part of it. She might claim she wants money, but Nancy is right that she's actually looking for love. And with Fallon, she briefly allowed herself to imagine that she could have it, or something resembling it, within the confines of her work, which is why it's all so sad that he turned out to be such a creep! I do hope Lucy finds love eventually! In the meantime, I would love a reincarnation AU fic, but let's be real, Fallon would come back as some sort of worm so... xD
