As it turns out, the Detroit fight scene choreography was mostly done in one take requiring meticulous planning and execution. In the game this performance is then cut up a lot and modified to add in the QTEs. In this video I restored the original one take performance as best as possible. For immersion all UI elements are also removed. This required some heavy modifications including:
-Removing all QTE prompts and interruptions such as from the Mind Palace activating
-Importing the animations from scratch and let them play uninterrupted
-Adding audio to this entire fight scene which now has vastly different timings than the original scene had
-Filming everything using only a single shot so we capture the performances as best as possible
-Re-light the scene so nothing is obscured in darkness
In the process I noticed that several bits from the fight performance are never used in the final game, so this video will also showcase these at the same time.
I might eventually turn this into a video series and start working on other fight scenes to turn them into a one take as well.")
