when everyone is either team snowbaird or snowjanus but i’m both (actually neither cause snow is just—)

it was originally planned as something cute and soft, no deep meaning, but as i was going through the lyrics, i actually felt like i chose the perfect song, even though it was a random choice. some of them go perfectly with snow and his relationships with other people. these two, lucy and sejanus, have been the closest for snow and had so much impact on him.

i really liked the lines:
"in my defense, i have none
for never leaving well enough alone"

they flow with the story of these three and how it ended. they both left because he betrayed them;

"but it would've been fun
if you would've been the one"

because he could’ve really been the one to help them, to save them, but he didn’t. instead, he buried them both. as lucy said, there’s natural goodness in people and only you decide which way you want to channel it. we all know what coriolanus’s choice was. i think he ruined their lives, people who trusted him the most. and it was funny how many parallels i found between snow’s relationships with both of them (ironically how sejanus wasn’t his romantic interest, but their scenes resemble the romantic line of the story quite well…)
