LRRP is an acronym for "Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol".
The US Marine Corps has some of the most wonderfully perfected LRRP operatives on earth, as I witnessed a few times in Viet Nam.
That aside, these three Elk showed up yesterday and I could not get outside to video them, so could only watch them from an upstairs window.
But this evening they showed up again and did not freak out too seriously when I eased out the door with my camera. I stayed on the porch, but thata was more than they would put up with, so they kept their distance until I made two films and then went back inside so as not to interfere with their 'operation'. ;)
They are very large animals. I mean, VERY LARGE!
