Natalie’s first week has certainly been an experience, but there are still more secrets to be discovered. Natalie and Mrs. Lowder talk about Susie being at the dentist, and Natalie’s mom coming in to volunteer. Susie returns to school, still irritated by Natalie. However, those feelings change when Mrs. Davis finally arrives, and we find out the nasty truth of why Natalie is so submissive and quiet. Natalie’s mom puts so much pressure on her to be perfect, no matter what she does. When an argument over the spelling quiz is finished, Natalie breaks down into tears. Finally making Susie realize that Natalie’s life is not all perfect sunshine and rainbows like she thought. But isn’t it too late to take back what she’s done? Or is there still some hope to make things right?
