Located in southeastern Arizona, one of the more remote National Park units is Chiricahua National Monument, a place full of cultural and geologic history. While there are no bad places to visit in the park, a great place to start is the Lower Rhyolite Trail which provides great views of the park's signature geologic features, and provides an opportunity for longer hikes to more experienced hikers. For those just looking to experience the LRT, it is a mostly flat three mile roundtrip hike with great views.
