After making a Y-Piece for the Dust collector in one of my last videos, I needed to make a blast gate that allows me to switch between the two attached shop vac hoses. What I came up with is a slider that moves in a straight line guided by ball bearings. This makes for a really smooth operation. However when I sat down and edited this very video, I noticed that the design is really rather overcomplicated for what it is. But it works well.
