I wish I'd discovered this combination of gear a few years ago...
These three items have created what I think is a really good sound for the money. For less than £250, you can create a reasonable simulation of a good recording space. For that money right now you can purchase a Lewitt Audio 440 Pure mic, the Waves SSL E-channel plugin, and the CLA-2 compressor plugin.
This was recorded in a totally untreated bedroom with no shielding and no gate.
