Big RGBWW lights in the 2x1 size and form factor can get really expensive, so Ikan made one for less than half the cost of the majority of the competition.. so what do you get for just under $900, which is currently the least expensive model in this size / form factor on the market? What corners have been cut..?

Well, once they fix a few important "gotcha's" in the firmware as shown in the video, it'll be a great buy as a big pop of color.. until then though, I would recommend watching some of my other videos on lighting.
