i've started & scrapped multiple projects with this story/idea in mind. in fact, i even gave up & deleted everything i had on it at the beginning of the year, feeling so sure i'll never come back to it. will i ever finish it? who knows. maybe. or maybe it will forever live in a video form instead.
this story is so dark, so twisted. i don't even know if there is even one likable character in it yet somehow they are all charming in their wrong, twisted way. but the thing i live the most for is the aesthetics of it, which it tried to recrated the most of & i'm beyond thankful for the numerous aesthetic scenepacks out there that made this possible.

Honestly, this video gave me such a hard time rendering it since somehow it would either crash mid-section or mess up sections. I think I have three project files with it because itll only allow me to render it fully if I re-save the file and then hit render. At some point last week I even considered deleting it all but Im glad I didnt since this was my original idea for this ship, which I randomly created as part of a crossover universe, which I now have a seperate playlist Ill link below. First, however, I bet youd like to know a bit of the story.
STORY: Joel works for Clifford Blossom, who runs an illegal drug business under the cover of his maple syrup production & distribution one. Since her brother, Jason, is set to inherit the business, Cheryl is kept pretty much in the dark about her fathers affairs, which makes her the outcast in the family. She meets Joel at one of the Blossoms family gatherings and hes immediately drawn to her. Despite their age difference, they began seeing each other behind her fathers back and as Joel begins falling for her, keeping secrets from her start to get harder and harder. He knows the only way to be with her is if he quits his job for Clifford but instead Clifford threatens to expose him and forces him to break things off with Cheryl. Joel does as hes been told, but since Clifford no longer trusts him, he gets him arrested, exposing his secret, which leaves Cheryl feeling betrayed and heartbroken, believing it was all a lie.

The myth of Hades & Persephone has always been my favourite and for some reason Ive always pictured Persephone as a redhead — it just makes me think of standing out and how bright and vivid colours are in spring. Then I think Ben as The Darkling gives the perfect Hades vibes. However, not in a million years have I planned on starting a new project (when I have so many to finish) or even dared to think of doing a myth reimagining but the idea came to me as I found this song and the whole editing of this video was so effortless, exactly what Ive needed lately. So, I hope you enjoy this short edit and if inspiration strikes again, I might try doing more in the future.

First of all, I know Alina is supposed to be brunette. Honestly, I didnt even want to make yet another Ben & Madelaine edit. I had the idea of making a video about the Darkling alone with a few quotes from the books, then I though of making it an AU with Genya since shes a redhead but midway it shifted into a Darklina AU instead.
Second, I promise I have a couple new projects that dont involve Madelaine or Ben. I just had this idea and after seeing an edit with this song and realizing it fits this character so well, I decided to pause on those and finish it first.
Third, I dont know if there is a particular story behind this. In my opinion, its just a short vidlet tribute solely based on the book series, the characters and the overall story with a little bit of a twist. Its really random and made in one day, but Im actually pretty satisfied with how it turned out.

Idk how to describe this edit. I even wondered whether I should upload it or not, because the story changed so drastically from what I originally planned it to be like... BUT Im also proud of it? And it was definitely a delight to edit Blake (as well as some other people I normally dont edit).
All I can say is that this is a very dark & twisted modern retelling of Lewis Carrolls Alice in Wonderland.
STORY:
Abused as a child by her own father, Alice Strome grows up to adapt the alter ego of Amelia Stallard, who in her teen years finally puts an end to the abuse by killing her father.
Years later Alice goes back to her childhood home, which is now unkept and overgrown with weeds & trees where she knows her father is buries. Shes seen by Theo, a boy next door, who was always intrigued by Alice but never quite got the nerve to talk to her.
When the remains of Alices father are found buried near the house, shes brought in for questioning and due to her poor state of mind is assigned to therapy where she meets Dr. Pettersen who shows interest in her case as well as her alter ego Amelia.
Alice is kidnapped by Theo who has become obsessed with her over the years but escapes.
In the end shes seen attending a funeral.
This idea is still a work in progress, hence why its so messy, but it started as something I wish to turn into a full story, so who knows - maybe one day I might.

I cant believe its been almost a month since Ive last uploaded a video but Ive been jumping between/starting new projects almost constantly lately and between new ideas every other day & RL tasks I havent had much time edit much or stick to a project and finish it in a couple of days, but I have a few I want to post soon, so fingers crossed. Also, Im not sure yet if Ill be able to do it, but I will try my best to treat everyone with another Halloween special this year. Also, this video I started almost a month ago, too. How strange is that?
Anyway, I created this character & let me tell you I fell in love with him straight away and this song just gives me his vibes, so... this happened.
STORY:
Set in a universe where time travelers exist, William Varg lived, then died, then was reborn again.
In his current life, hes been raised by his grandfather, also a time traveler, and has very hard relationship with his estranged parents. Hes been raised with stories about time travel, other universes, etc., which sparked his interest in the unknown, in the posibility of other worlds existing, in astronomy and mediumship and basically anything, which could give him answers, especially after he starts having repetitive dreams of a woman he cant quite put a name to.
Following his granfathers death, William, feeling hes lost his only connection to this magical world of time travel and rebirth, sinks deeper into his studies on the matter, sometimes crossing the line between sanity and insanity.

It feels so wrong uploading this in August when everything about this story screams of cosy, winter vibes but... its been so long since I started this project & I know there are people who were really interested in the idea of these two after my first short edit of them, so I just had to share it as soon as I finished it! It sure feels like the season of dark/edgy edits is once more upon me. But honestly its a shame there arent more edits with these two.
Finding the right song to vibe with them was a struggle. Dont even get me started on how many projects I have with a song I thought was the right one only to realize the next day that it isnt. Then out of the blue this gem found its way on my Spotify and it was an instant connection.

STORY:
Madison is caught in a very toxic relationship with Roman (who struggles with his upir side without realizing it). At one point Roman loses control and accidentally kills her. He doesnt know Madison is a witch and thinks hes dreaming when in fact shes alive. Shes also too tired of playing by his rules and takes things into her own hands which ultimately leads to Romans tragic end.

Back in December I did an edit with these two , but I just wasnt ready to share it with the world (and maybe Ill never be), and I cant begin to explain how much these two lovelies have grown on me since then. Its one very strange moment where I want to still keep them a secret, but I also feel s proud of this extra short edit as to not share it publically. Especially after realizing just how perfect this song is for them after recently being reminded of it thanks to a collab parts video I watched.
(Also, I cant believe how long it took me to finish these 45 seconds when I usually easily squeeze a 1 minute edit in one/two days. Especially with sucn an easy style. But I guess I just wanted to take my time and make it perfect.)

happy new year everyone!
im starting 2023 with a bang. the last months of 2022 have been a rollercoaster for me (emotionally&physically) which took a toll at my inspiration and creativity to a point i was considering hiatus or even giving up vidding but... in the last week of december i managed to finish 4 videos total (one i had in mind since december 1st and the rest just came naturally & i did them in the matter of a few days each). i really hope ill continue like this.. maybe not as much done considering i had a small break from real life but anything is better than just having the desire to edit but hitting a vidders block & just staring at the screen without a single idea of how to match each scene with one another.
anyway, let me introduce you this very new concept. Madelaine & Joel are no strangers to my channel & though this ship really feels like an OC ship me and my best friend came up with a while ago (which I have yet to introduce to you properly maybe one day), this video is very special to me because its actually one I wanted to do for a long time. i have so many projects, so many song choices that fit them yet the one i managed to finish was reusing a song i already used for yet another very special to me ship.
meet fenrick & melora/valerie (im still debating on her name xD). i wont get into much details because their story is one i really want to write out one day and perhaps share with everyone then (so no spoilers yet! haha). but they are loosely based on fenrir & idunn/sol from the norse mythology as well as romeo and juliet (but a bit darker version) as well as the trope idea of the villian gets the girl. with a touch of american gods i believe.
STORY:
so yeah, basically hes trapped, locked in chains deep in the woods & seeks her help to free him, luring her to free him.
p.s. so sorry for the overload on aesthetics. they are my weakness but also the idea is still very fresh in my mind so i cant really find the scenes to match the plot (because most of it is unknown to me still) so i was just trying to portray the whole vibe of their story & what better way than through aesthetics huh?
also, this is by far my favourite style ive ever created for a video. its far from unique but i just love every second of it! every small detail too.
