Jesus gave two of the most radical teachings ever spoken:
Love your neighbor as yourself.
And even more challenging… Love your enemies.
Most of us think of an enemy as someone outside of us. But what if our greatest enemy is the voice in our own head? The one that judges, condemns, fears, compares, and constantly keeps us divided within ourselves.
As long as there is war inside, there will be war outside.
When we begin to meet our own thoughts with awareness instead of resistance, something remarkable happens. The inner battle starts to dissolve. And from that place, compassion naturally flows—not just toward ourselves, but toward everyone else.
Peace isn’t something we create in the world first.
It begins the moment we end the war within.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” (Matthew 5:9)
