For over 40 years, our City streets have come alive with large, beautifully painted wooden hearts, each carrying messages of love and admiration. New this year, be on the lookout for additional hearts along Rocky Mountain Avenue! 💞
The 380 Loveland Hearts by Thompson Valley Rotary have messages of love submitted by the community and they are crafted with care by Thompson Valley High School students, symbolizing the community spirit of our #SweetheartCity.
The project remains a labor of love worth about $8K/year in labor and equipment costs to the City — it takes three crews of four City staffers in our Public Works and Water and Power Departments, equipped with bucket trucks and safety gear, about 6-8 hours to bring this vision to life.
Join us in celebrating love in all its forms and keep an eye out for these hearts of joy for Valentine season in the nation's Sweetheart City. 💙 💚
