This tiny blind pomeranian was left in my backyard two weeks ago. She was half-starved, with a staph infection, worms, acute anemia from the over 300 fleas that totally covered her four pound body...and she is blind due to cataracts and glaucoma. I named her after a dear friend, who just passed away. We all think Jim had something to do with bringing this little present to me from the other side. She is truly an angel.
The veterinary clinic staff at the Michigan Human Society have been wonderful and supportive. They patched her up in no time, and called frequently checking on her progress.
Miss Jimmi is destined to bigger and better things. Since all she wants is to be loved and petted (and maybe not in that order), she would be PERFECT for the job of a visiting emotional support therapy dog at nursing homes and hospice. This new role is our goal.
She's not a cat, but certainly has used more than one life on this planet. Her new one will be filled with lots of love and caring for this dear little blind dog that wiggled her way into my heart the instant I saw her.
