On a beautiful fall day, Luchini led his Stanford teammates to a stellar performance, winning the 5-mile race with a time of 23:55 and securing a first-place team finish for the Cardinal.
Luchini, a senior and native of Ellsworth, Maine, was thrilled to return to his home state and race in front of a supportive local crowd. The Stanford men's team dominated the event, claiming the top four spots, while the Maine men placed eighth out of eleven teams.
The women's race saw similar success for Stanford, with freshmen Amanda Trotter and Arianna Lambie taking the top two spots. The top seven female finishers were all from Stanford, showcasing their depth and strength. Maine's junior Heather Jovanelli was the top local finisher, placing 17th, while the Maine women's team finished sixth overall.
