The Concept!
As I shoot a lot of weddings for different cultures - I found a Chinese tradition really interesting - which is what this clip plays on. In the morning of a Chinese wedding there are multiple red strings - the groom has to pick which one his bride is holding onto and follow it to her, completing challenges along the way. I found this really cool and though how it can be applied as a metaphor for a broken relationship which is the meaning behind the song. The relationship in this clip didn't work due to the couple being at different places in different times - that is why I have chosen to have to two different colour grades representing the different seasons or times. SO although their strings align, it wasn't meant to be.
