Kaim Argonar, an immortal man who has lived for over a thousand years, is sent to investigate a magical industrial accident near the city of Wohl. He emerges unscathed from a devastating meteor strike, but his memory is fragmented. Haunted by dreams he can’t fully recall, Kaim begins his journey through a war-torn world where two major powers—Uhra and Khent—are locked in a cold conflict over magical energy known as “mana.”
In Uhra, Kaim is summoned by the Grand Staff Council to report on the disaster. There, he meets fellow immortal Seth Balmore, a pirate-turned-warrior who also suffers from amnesia. The two are joined by Jansen Friedh, a humorous but capable human mage who is secretly working for the powerful and enigmatic Gongora, Uhra’s royal advisor and head of magic research.
The trio is ordered to investigate the remnants of a magical artifact known as the “Old Sorceress’ Mansion.” During this mission, strange visions and fragments of memory begin to return to Kaim, especially in the form of "Thousand Years of Dreams," poetic stories from his forgotten past. These stories hint at the emotional weight of immortality—the pain of losing loved ones and the loneliness of endless life.
As they travel, Kaim and the group meet two children, Cooke and Mack, who have just lost their mother. The woman, Lirum, is revealed to be Kaim’s daughter—a memory he had forgotten. Her death reawakens Kaim’s sorrow, and he and Seth promise to protect the children.
The party eventually learns that Gongora is manipulating world events from the shadows. He is also revealed to be an immortal like Kaim and Seth but one who has retained his memories and seeks to dominate the world by controlling Grand Staff, a colossal magic-conducting tower.
Disk 1 ends with the group realizing that their pasts are tied to Gongora’s plans and that recovering their memories is crucial to stopping him. With the children in tow, and questions still unanswered, they prepare to pursue Gongora and uncover the truth about their immortality, the threat of Grand Staff, and the destiny they’ve long forgotten.
