This is the fastest I've ever beaten this level. As you can probably tell, I love making Mario face the other way as he jumps. It's not just fun, but it's actually a good tactic! For some reason when Mario is facing the opposite direction of where he's jumping, he's a lot easier to control in the air. So I can be running at max speed, face the other direction and jump, tap back a little bit, and he'll slow down in no time! I'm gonna use this trick a lot in the future...Especially on 2-2 where I have to slow down and land on the edge of the pipe where the piranha plant is.
Kinda sad how back when I was like, 8, this level made me give up on beating the game in general. Years later, here I am beating this level constantly treating it as a time trial.
