Space exploration has been going on for a minute (on a cosmic time scale).
What about the astronauts that have gone up to space? Most of them reported having the overview effect, where they usually experience the Earth from space with appreciation and perception of beauty, unexpected and even overwhelming emotion, and an increased sense of connection to other people and the Earth as a whole. I wonder if they also would sense something like insignificance?
