The Borg are once again threatening the Alpha Quadrant starting with a series of small raids assimilating large numbers of people on the planet Defera and in response the Federation is hosting a conference on DS9 hoping to ally the Alpha Quadrant against the Borg. Little do they know there is a far more dangerous and immediate threat that has been right under their noses for decades...
(This Mission takes place after the mission set Cardassian Struggle but I'm playing it continuing after the Delta quadrant missions because I wanted some more time with the Swiftsure before her destruction by the Iconians)
