I'm beyond devastated about the Ash news but he's not going anywhere for a few more episodes so I'm going to try to focus on Gou for now

I edited most of this amv back when Sobble's evolution ep aired but just never got around to finishing it, and then the other day I found it again and told myself I'd finish it after the JN finale aired. I almost couldn't do it because I've been crying too much over Ash, but I powered through for my other son.

If you know me you know how big my Alola bias is, like the Alola kids have my WHOLE heart and when SM ended I didn't think anyone would ever be able to top them... but Gou became my favorite of Ash's companions so /quickly/. Their dynamic together is so incredibly fun and Gou by himself is easily one of, if not THE best written character in pokeani. He just feels so... real. There's so much relatable about him and his character growth was SO good. It broke my heart seeing him get so much hate and for the stupidest things when he so clearly cares deeply for all his Pokemon.

I literally grew up with Ash and I'm going through all the stages of grief three times over because we're losing him, but I'm going to miss Gou so much as well. Praying he gets a return in one of Ash's final eps because I refuse to accept that we've seen the last of these two together. The future lies in their hands, after all 😭
