Lisa McHale is director of family relations for the Concussion Legacy Foundation. On May 25, 2008, Lisa lost her husband, former Cornell and NFL lineman Tom McHale, to an accidental drug overdose at age 45. McHale became the second former NFL player diagnosed with CTE at the VA-BU-CLF Brain Bank after death. His diagnosis spurred Lisa to join the Foundation so that she could help families that made the same decision she did to have their loved one's brain studied.
